Getting Started with Abracadabra Instant Screenshot

This document assumes you have already downloaded an installed Abracadabra Instant Screenshot. If you haven’t done that, follow the instructions below first.

Using Instant Screenshot

1)      Press one of the screenshot hot keys to take a screenshot:

Hot Key	Function
Print Screen	Capture the entire screen
Scroll Lock	Capture the currently active window
Pause / Break	Capture the window beneath the mouse pointer

      Hint: These keys are usually at the right-hand side of the top row of keys on the keyboard.

2)      Edit the screenshot to the desired size and content using the screenshot editor.

3)      Click the OK button and paste the screenshot into your document.
Hint: Most windows applications will paste from the clipboard when you press Ctrl+V.

Installing Instant Screenshot

If you haven’t installed Instant Screenshot yet, follow these instructions to do so.

1)      You can download the latest version of Instant Screenshot from http://abracadabrasolutions.com/InstScreenshot/ishot.exe

2)      Install it by double clicking on the self-extracting executable.

3)      The installer will put a shortcut to Instant Screenshot in your Startup folder, so that it will run whenever you log on to windows.

Uninstalling Instant Screenshot

You can uninstall Instant Screenshot using the Add/Remove programs feature of Windows.

1)      Open the Control Panel

2)      Open the Add/Remove Programs applet

3)      Click on the listing for Abracadabra Instant Screenshot, and click the Remove button.
